What The Ad Spend tracks

The raw and calculated metrics tracked, plus the six-level account hierarchy.

The Ad Spend captures performance metrics and configuration down to the individual ad level across your connected platforms. Currently live on Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.

The Metrics Surfaced

Raw metrics tracked:

  • Spend
  • Impressions
  • Clicks
  • Link clicks
  • Outbound clicks
  • Video views
  • Engagements (likes, shares, comments)
  • Results (conversions)
  • Conversion value

Calculated metrics derived from the above:

  • CTR (clicks / impressions)
  • CPC (spend / clicks)
  • CPA (spend / conversions)
  • CVR (conversions / clicks)
  • ROAS (conversion value / spend)

You can view and query metrics at any level of the account hierarchy.

Settings and Change Fields

Alongside metrics, The Ad Spend tracks configuration changes at each level:

  • Campaigns: Budget, bid strategy, status, targeting, schedule, network settings
  • Ad groups / ad sets: Bid amounts, targeting, status
  • Ads: Headlines, descriptions, images, URLs, call-to-action, status

Each campaign, ad group, and ad has a settings hash — a fingerprint of its configuration at a point in time. When a setting changes, a new hash is generated. This lets you line up a metric shift with a configuration change and check whether a setting changed when the metric moved.

Account hierarchy

The Ad Spend organizes your data across six levels:

  • Organization: your AdSpend workspace
  • Provider: Google, Meta, or LinkedIn
  • Sub-account: the specific ad account (Google Customer ID, Meta act_ ID, or LinkedIn Campaign Manager Account ID)
  • Campaign
  • Ad Group / Ad Set: terms are kept native per platform; Google uses Ad Group, Meta uses Ad Set
  • Ad
