Trends

AI-detected patterns and anomalies, surfaced automatically from your account's own baseline.

AI-detected patterns and anomalies.

Trends are the detection layer of The Ad Spend, the system's way of flagging that something in your accounts has shifted, before you've thought to go looking. There's no query to run, no threshold to manually set. The Ad Spend watches spend, performance, and pacing across your connected accounts continuously, and surfaces anything that looks like it doesn't belong.

What makes something "not belong" is determined by your account's own data. The Ad Spend builds an expected forecast from your historical record and measures live activity against it, so a spend spike that's normal for one account won't trigger a flag on another. No generic benchmarks, no industry averages. This is also what makes Trends useful outside business hours, the system doesn't stop watching on a weekend.

How to read them

Each Trend is labeled as one of three categories, Opportunity, Warning, or Insight, so you can tell at a glance whether it's something to act on, watch, or note.

Beyond the category, a Trend includes:

  • A headline and short description of what shifted
  • The platform(s) where it was detected
  • A primary metric value or impact level — the size of the movement
  • A confidence score — expressed as a percentage, how strongly the data supports the finding
  • A detection timestamp — when The Ad Spend flagged it

You can give any Trend a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to signal whether it was useful.

Where a Trend points toward a specific fix, you'll see a suggested change attached — approve or dismiss it directly from the Trend.

How they're delivered

Trends appear automatically in the web app and in Slack. Any Trend you don't need can be dismissed or archived.
